Hello Everybody. Have recently become proud owner of a 250td 1992 and it's great! However, I can't save the radio station settings that I would like it tuned into. The radio is a blaupunkt s37 london...I think!
No manuals with the car. Can anyone help?
Many thanks

with most of the 'blue spot' radios you just manually tune the radio to the required station then press and hold the preset button you wish the station to be on....

If the radio is loosing it memory when you turn the ignition off check that the permanent live is connected to the rear and that the fuse is ok..... there should be two live wires a red one and a yellow one is permanent live the other is switched live from the ignition... i forget which one is which...sorry..

The most likely cause is the fact that despite 'standardisation' some radio's swap the permanent live and the switched live on the DIN-type plug.  I have a 96 C200, which presumably has the same radio plugs as you, and had to swap the permanent/switched live when I fitted a Kenwood.  If I now go back to a Blaupunkt it will not keep it's settings, because the leads are crossed. Maybe someone has done this in the past with yours......

try white190's advice, if it still doesn't work try joining the yellow+
ighition wire to the red+ wire one. That should work as I had a similar
problem trying to fit a Kenwood radio in my mates Pug 306. It too had probs storing in the stations once the ignition was turned off.
