I have a 2002 E240 on replacing battery i cannot re-enter the code that came with the car the radio is audio 10 RDS code starts with BE 3100.can anyone help?

When I changed the battery on my wife's SLK I had the same problem, when I started looking through the service pack / wallet - I found a plastic card (the same size as a credit card) in one of the pouches with the code on it - might be worth a look in your service pack

If you have not got the code MB will get it for you if it is the original radio

If it's the same as the cd player I've got (not sure which model), in the instructions it says PRESS the buttons in sequence, all goes well until the last button, where it should say (but doesn't) PRESS AND HOLD.

It depends on the MB dealer as to if a charge is made, some do and some dont, still cheaper than getting it re coded
