I've got a radio interference problem on my C 200K W203 estate.

Symptoms are as follows

Interference only on AM (radio 5 is the worst). FM is fine
Only when engine running but does not change with engine speed.
OK when ignition on but engine not running.

Any ideas/thoughts welcome

thanks in advance for any help/

have you any aftermarket toys fitted, dvd sat nav etc, had the same thing last month with a brand new ml, turn out they had routed wiring for kids rear dvd next to radio amp wiring.

Could be the antenna amp at the top of the rear screen. Put your heated rear window on & see if it's worse. This can also effect you key remote range.

What if the wiring for teh DVD player is the problem? I've tapped my headreset screens into the main bundle of wires going down the side of the car, when they're drawing power it knocks out the radio reception.

Is there any way of fixing this? Was going to see if tieing the headrests antenna in with the existing wire would help, but can't identify which wire is the antenna!

Incidentally - the radio reception goes to pot when I plug my phone charger into the cigarette lighter too!
