Radio of a S500 year 2009

I have lost all of the pre-set radio programmes and there is no sound from my CD's or Radio m
I have a TV in the vehicle which is also silent
I suspect I have a software problem and that I will have to have a Nercedes Dealer correct the problem
Has any other member experienced the silent treatment and if so what is the best and lowest cost option to sort the problem

I have found somewhere that will repair the Harmon amps at £220 plus postage. These come with a 12 month guarantee and £1000 cheaper than what Mercedes offer.
