Short of replacing the window MB say that if you disconnect the wires near side of screen and run 16 volts through it for 20 mins it can help. The other way is to leave the screen on for at least ½ an hour, this has a welding effect on the wires in the screen.

Saloon or estate?? If saloon, start the car up, put the radio & rear screen on to get the interferance. Jump in the back seat & push up on the headlining at the back by the rear screen. Go all the way along. Does it change? If so, you're looking at an aerial amp fault. You do not have to remove the rear screen to replace this on a saloon.
