Hi, Yes, life got in the way, I didn't even clean the car for 4 months. Now I can report it's back to being nice and shiny, with the usual bird droppings!!

After I posted I checked out Halfords, just don't do my size. I was using Black Circles, so I will have another look. There was another company who do mail order, so I would just have to pay the £20 a corner to have them fitted.

When I had new P Zeros fitted on the rear last year I looked at Blackcircles. I checked with my local dealer and they were £30 a tyre cheaper so it is worth checking with your local people, he may be keener to stay in business during this difficult time

You could try Oponeo or MyTyres (I've used both of them numerous times)

I looked at Rainsports a while ago , I’ve got them on the CLK , they seemed to have gone up a lot in price . Ended up with some Nexen Nfera on the rears instead

They have for some reason, in the past I was able to get them for about £80 fitted, now they are £100. I will have a look at the ones you have gone for.

I've recently gone to Falken FK510s on the 230 (RS3 not available in 285/35/19 sizing).
Very impressed I must say.

Seems they have been superseded by the new RS5's.

Yes, just checked Camskills for my tyre sizes , the Nexen NferaSU1 is the same C,A rating as the RS5’s , but quieter at only 69 decibels and £20 a corner cheaper , so that’s me permanently out of Rainsports

Good price. Those Nexen's come out at £127 including shipping. Probably cost me £40 to get them fitted, still cheaper than the RS3 and 5's.

I know there are a few members running Nexen tyres on here but I am not convinced about rubber from Asia. IE all you get from China is ditch finders, Asian rubber. They are not for me as is any budget tyre.

Tyres are a very important part of a car, just about as important as brakes and I will only have a premium product in either of those areas.

I see where you are coming from , but having driven my dads V8 jag with Nexens (for 3 years now) on I have no issues with them , and although they haven’t been on the CLK rear for long , again no concerns at all . Wish I had the budget for the big names , but that’s life

I have the Nexen Nfera all round on my SL55, very pleased with them, did have Perelli's on them but changed before they needed to be as they were shite.

Just put Goodyear Asymmetric 5's on my Megane rs, will see how they are as the 3's were great on wet tracks.
