Raising the alarm

My CLS 320s automatic alarm went off for no apparent reason followed by….

1. All error warning messages came on including tyre pressure warning, safety warnings etc.
2. Engine wouldn’t stop, even after disconnecting main battery. (No surprise there it being diesel)
3. Key removed engine still would not stop.
4. Took car up the road and it cut out altogether.
5. Turned off and then back on the ignition and all went back normal except engine warning light still on
6. Finally back home everything switched off but drivers side front and rear side lights stayed on. Only went off when ignition turned back on.

Cleared light issue by disconnecting the battery again.
Anyone come across anything similar please?

Sounds like water in the electrics - check the SAM(s) (Signal Acquisition Module)
