Random air ride height issue..

Hi Fella's,

An odd one.. When I got out of my W211 08 E550, the air ride height was extended fully up without me switching on the 'raise' button... Once i closed the door, the height didn't drop.
Once i reopened the door, the car dropped to the correct height.

I then engaged the sport button (2 settings) and it dropped correctly.. and when switched off the sport button, the lifted to the normal ride height.

What would cause the car to lift in travel ? Has anyone seen this issue before ?

On the suspension itself, don’t have Wis to show a diagram however it’s best checked on Star or icarsoft MB2 first to recalibrate too before changing out parts
