I did chip mine mine with a piggy back box, the extra power is quite amazing. Rolling road tests before and after have shown an increase in power from 155bhp to 180bhp, I have had upto 195bhp as the box I have is adjustable.

It totally transforms the car, much more eager to go and will leave many cars behind, most impressive is the pulling power from 30mph+, once it is in third gear it pulls relentlessy. The car changes down gear less often. Economy improves if you drive sensibly but it is very hard to do so!! I am selling my tuning box, I have had my fun and my better half does not like driving it so much with the extra power, too fast she says!

I am looking at increasing the size of the intercooler, I already have an upgraded exhaust system so an intercooler upgrade should realise another +30% in power and torque.

The only drawback is the increase in black smoke when really booted, this is simply because the chip pumps in extra fuel and the result is unburnt fuel in the form of black smoke, this could potentially clog the CAT so be careful!!

How did you upgrade the exhaust system?

Let mi know about the upgrade of the intercooler: looks like a very good idea, you could upgrade the air filter too.

Did yuo have any problems with cold starting?

Your English is much better than my Spanish, no need to apologise. I was in Sevilla about a month ago, really liked it, I have never seen so many oranges either.

The tuning box I have was supplied by TD Performance, there are lots available, just search the web. It is fairly easy to fit, but involves a bit of soldering, but no cutting of any wires. Prices are around £250-£400 over here.

I have a Remus exhaust, it's subtle butr looks good, sounds throaty and improves performance a little. I have tried a K&N air filter, cannot really say it makes much difference.

The intercooler will have to be custom made, nobody supplies an upgrade. You can also polish the internals of the turbo and blank off the EGR valve for a few extra bhp.
