Hi all,
I have a 2001 (51 plate) C240 Elegance estate W203. Following a recent problem which resulted in my battery being disconnected for a while, I find that the remote keyfob does not operate the central locking any more. It does however operate the ignition fine. I can gain entry to the car by using the little "pull out" emergency metal key.
I have searched on the forums for advice on how to re_align the remote to the central locking, but it seems I cannot find the definitive answer to my car. Could some-one please advise me on the correct procedure please.
Thank you in advance, your help is genuinely appreciated.

Its possible the rear sam has blown due to the battery been reconnected. It happends some times I am afraid.

Does the fuel gauge work when the cars running? Boot and tail lights work etc.

On the 203 I think that Ellsy is right here, it all goes through the rear SAM

On these cars they have both RF and IR and both would not fail at the same time other than the rear SAM going down
