Guys,

Anyone read the diagnostic codes sucessfully and know what they mean?

My car is a 320CE, and I've got intermittant starting problems.

Symptoms are that starter will spin normally, but no fire whatsoever. I've
tried pushing the accelerator to the floor (in case it was flooded), but no
luck. Try say a dozen times and give up before I flatten the battery. Come
back 1/2 hour later, it starts first time (but sometimes doesn't).

Checked the plugs and there's no spark, so I guess that eliminates the fuel side......

The temperature (of the weather, or the engine ) seemingly doesn't make any
difference, it's the same cliff-hanger hot or cold......

Hope I'm describing something that has happened to other members and they
have found a cure ?

320CE No Spark

Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look, but as a long-term "Electronics man" I'm very reluctant to change anything unless I have cast-iron proof that it's faulty. Be different if I had one spare on the shelf!

I'm thinking that the ECU ought to know what's wrong (or what signals it's not getting), so to me, this seems the right way to go forward.

That being said, the wiring for the alarm loioks very dodgy, so if i can get an installation diagram friom Scorpion, I'll be a bit further on.....

So far, studdying the wiring diagram, I can't see how power gets from the ignition switch to the Engine Management Computer.....sut I suppose it must do somehow, so I obviously have a lot to learn.....

If you want to by-pass the immobiliser, the bridge out the yellow/red wire and the black/purple.

Bypassing the Immobiliser

Thanks....
Just so I don't blow anything up, you're talking about the wires that go to the Scorpion Immobilizer under the drivers-side dash, right?

I just connect yellow/red wire and the black/purple wire together?
