Rear ashtray stuck

211 - ashtray in the rear of the centre console.
The spring that ejects it seems to have failed. The catch seems to work but once pushed to release, I have to prise out the housing with a screwdriver rather than it roll out on it's own. A bit of a pain on the M1 when I'm trying to access the 12v socket to plug my charger in.
Anyway - how do I strip it down to fix it?
