Mr Siver_Star I have done as you requested..
For some reason I couldn't summon up the enthusiasm to do a 100% thorough job....
What started me off on the negative frame of mind was that the car was up on a jack and axle stands with wheels removed and I discovered I had every spanner under the sun EXCEPT the ****** 18mm ring spanner needed to remove the rear carriers..
So reluctantly I decided to carry on and do what I could with them in situ.
I still used the electric drill and wire brushes and the brake cleaner..
BUT in my head I know there are bits that aren't painted to my satisfaction..
The parts that show, that I could get to I did properly..
I removed the rear Pads and discovered they are 6 months maximum from needing to be replaced..
That did it!!
When I painted the calliper I also painted the back of the pads on 1 wheel... Then thought better of it and didn't paint the pad on the other wheel.
Its a good job you can only view 1 side of the car at once!!
Not really bothered re pads because they will be changed in a month or two..
I will make sure I have a 18mm ring spanner and then do the carriers properly..
Before you ask.. Yes I have an 18mm socket but there isn't room to use it.. There are electrical connectors which limit the height of the tool I can use.
Anyway photos below..
Again, better than it was !
