... Measuring from the middle of the badge to the top of the wheel arc. Difference between the two rear is about 1cm.

Attached the wheel in question.

I also push the car down from behind, no squeaking or any type of sound which is a good thing.

Could it be the spring going or it's normal? Just wondering when I should be concern.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. How can I tell apart from taking it to the workshop?

It can be difficult to see if it’s just the last bit of the spring. You can jack it up and take a look with the wheel off - just make sure the car is adequately supported before getting your head inside and taking a look

as above but will more likely need to get your fingers in to see if you can feel any sharp edges , springs go all the time on cars pal , our roads are so smooth you see :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Low profile wheels with almost no tyre sidewall also put a lot into the springs as there’s no “give” in the sidewall

Surely if the Wheel looks lower you sure it's not in a dip...??? :D
Let's hope not. It's my drive, quite flat. I have to say, every time I turn left, it does make a clunky sound. Not sure whether it's related.

Not every time... Only sharp left turn which I presume the weight of the car goes on

if that's the case pal , think you better check it out asap , sounds like the spring is moving on the seat

Getting someone local to have a look tomorrow.

How much roughly it would be to replace them?

I'd go to ATS or similar when it's quiet & ask them to put your car on a lift & look for you, then ask a proper garage for a quote. Rear springs are generally pretty easy to swap. There can be a huge difference in price between OE progressive rate springs & pattern eg years ago, Vx wanted £160 for a pair of rear spring for her Astra, pattern were £40 the pair. Her C3's pattern rear springs were abut £30 each about 18 months ago.

Got someone to come have a look. He said spring looks fine, a bit corroded but looks okay.

Will keep an eye on the rear nearside tyre and see whether it gets worst.

Thanks guys for your advice!
