I have a blown number plate bulb and need to replace it.

I've removed the surround but can't get the bulb holder out of the boot lid.

I've pulled, twisted, levered and fear that any more force will break the plastic.

Is there a some trick to getting it off?

Thanks,

Thank you

Good link but can be done in a less fiddly way too:

1. Remove 4 screws from the outer trim above the number plate and lift the trim off.

2. Remove the studs holding the boot liner in place and pull the liner down enough to allow access to the rear of the bulb holder.
Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to press off one of the lugs, arrowed, and push that end of the holder out from the boot. Repeat for the other end of the holder.

Pull the holder away from the boot.

3. Replace the bulb and reverse the above steps.

Job done.

Thanks for the advice in the link.
