My rear tyres are getting close to replacement time but I've noticed they are worn more on the outside than the inside.
The car is just under two years old and has clocked 36k.
I usually keep them inflated to what it says inside the refuel flap, just wondering if I should get the alignment checked when I get the job done.

Wide wheels do not last that long on the rear through the scrubbing action, excess wear on one side usually means the camber setting is wrong

Malcolm in a previous thread you recommended Wheels in Motion of Chesham, that's not too far from me,that thread was a while ago,any reason not to use them?

They are very good and just down the road from you,,, they charge about £140 to do it all but you can soon get this back on the saving on the tyres, most are very pleased with their service as the cars usually drive much nicer

In the end I went with Blackcircles.com and had them fitted at TopCar in Hemel Hempstead. The tyres I wanted were a good bit cheaper than Wheels in Motion & it's a lot nearer. They have a sister accident repair company next door and they checked and adjusted the tracking and camber for £66.
Top quality service from all involved.

I had my CLS geometry done at the dealership a couple of weeks back. Lucky I did as the ride height needed adjusting/levelling, something that can only be done with STAR (the car has Airmatic). Without the correct ride height any geo adjustment will be out.

They only charged £90, took them 1.5hrs!
