Rear wiper fault

I've just acquired my first MB, a 2001 C270 CDI Estate. So far very pleased apart from a couple of niggles.
1. Noisy front suspension, which having read the forum sounds like it might be anti-roll bar bushes - yet to be confirmed.
2. The rear wiper won't work. I've checked fuses and all seem ok. I've taken the trim panel off the tail gate and theres no power to the motor. I put 12V on it and works ok. I checked the obvious place for a broken wire between body and tail gate which seems ok.

The question is where do I go next? Relays? If so which and where?

Any advice appreciated please.

Hi, I´ve the same problem with the rear wiper on my e class, unfortunately still hoping for an answer to appear on here! Estates are rare here in Spain so even had the dealer scratching their heads.

I can help you with the wiper later in the day,,I had the info but have lost it.

Many thanks for that television, it´s a great help. At least now when I strip it out, I´ll know where the wires run and it´s given me a couple more points to check.
