Rear Wiper Running on

Has anyone experienced their rear wiper starting on its own, and then continuing to run. Sometimes going to rest to only start again some time later?

I'm thinking I need a new motor but wondering if anyone has solved this before I strip the tailgate.

Hi Martin!
my rear wiper does not start on its own but sometimes gets stuck on or has an erratic behaviour.
I'm not sure if this is your problem as well, but it happens frequently that water leaks in the motor and corrodes the inner metal parts.
You can find online some guides to help you with disassembling the wiper motor!
