Rear wiper is u/s - as is water jet, so it may be a fuse/loose wire somewhere rather than the motor perhaps. All main fuses near bulkhead appear to be OK though. Any of you clever people got any clues? MOT due and it is a failure at present.

Much Apppreciated

I think that you will find that the rear wiper is not part of the MOT test. However inside the tailgate you will find a relay. I have known this relay to be fitted upside down and it can fall off it's pins after a period of time. Listen for a knocking sound as you raise and lower the tailgate. If it is in position you will need to check that it is operating correctly and has power to it. You could also check the power at the connectors just inside the car under the roof moulding.

check for broken wire where they go into the rear door common fault due to wear and tear, and yes the rear wiper has nothing to do with the MOT

Wiper

FYI - not electrical, merely the shaft absolutely seized in the housing - full of crud and salt. Good clean with WD40 etc cured it. Jet also now working- in series with wiper presumably - but pipe leaking at the tailgate hinge. Easy splice fix. Onwards and upwards, might even drive the thing soon.
