after a long sob story of fitting a 2nd hand box to my 1994 320TE and finding it faulty i got the box rebuilt ./ reconditioned by a local transmission specialist however the box is flaring ( some 500 rpm , more if your foot is down a bit ) when the car is cold ( transmission specifically ) for about 10-15 minutes when its hot everything changes fine and there is no flaring
the rebuild guy / firm wants to put some additive in it, which I'm dubious of, i have heard something about the K1 and K2 springs which can cause flaring and stops if they are replaced K2 I think is the 2nd to 3rd one ? not sure if this is external to the box or internal anyone any in depth knowledge of this when hot the box does not flare 2nd to 3rd at all even under foot to the floor acceleration through all gears
