That's odd I looked into card warranties a time ago and found quite a lot of exclusions and there all but gone now.

Many of the accounts are no longer available to new customers. Presumably they don't want to risk alienating existing customers by withdrawing their accounts as we might well move elsewhere.

Check with your insurer , often they can give you a good deal as an add in

Good advice, thank you John. LV will give me full UK and European Breakdown cover through LV Britannia Rescue for £102 as an add on to my motor insurance. They are a Which Recommended Provider and Defagto 5* so I think I will be going with them.
