Red interior on 107

Just a general opinion question. Im thinking of buying Smoke Silver `88 107 with Oxblood Red interior in good condition tho one dealer has told me very bad for re-sale! I thought it was rare colour combo and nice.Any thoughts anyone? yeah or yuk?

Why would it be bad for resale? There's plenty of new ones with red interiors.

If you like it buy it and use the bad resale argument in your offer. Red interiors do seem to be worth less and have a smaller market on modern cars, but I think on a car of this age it makes no difference. There are other things that could be worse for resale than its colour. I think it sounds nicely retro.

I saw a W126 SE in that colour combination and thought it was very smart. Having said that, it seemed to take a while to sell.

I have the 500SEL in Smoke Silver and black MB Tex interior. I wonder if this is why I've just bought a W124 250TD in the same colour but with very grubby red interior.
Think I've been blind to the faults of the W124 purely because I like smoke Silver so much.
thats non working foot/handbrake, not working sunroof, questionable rear windows (have not tested in case they don't go back up and too cold to mess around with them) missing Seat rake knob etc... only saving grace is the engine with 187k on the clock and for a Diesel I guess it should have more life. Oh and I've just found the Swimming Pool in the front footwell! DOH!
