I made a huge mistake buying cheap wheels, they have been nothing but grief but i do LOVE the look of them. The problem i have with them now is that the salt and grit on the road has eaten into the cheap lacquer on them and they look a bit nasty! So since i dont really wanna folk out for a new set can i get them refurbished and re-coated in a tougher lacquer so that they might last as long as a decent set of wheels?

Hello Roy,,forget clear coats as they do not last, get them chrome paint painted all over as on all of the new MB's. and it will last and look good

As Malcolm says, chrome paint all over. This was the same advice given to me by my local refurbers.

i am due for my tyre change and my AMG's got some minor stratches here and there..fronts have slight curb..
i had quote of respray and another for strip and respray..and the latter i am assuming to the original AMG chrome paint Sterling Silver..without the mettalic bits..
I am just thinking should i just get it resprayed with minor cleanup or a full strip and respray..
Any advice..

Are your wheels with a polished rim, or all painted
