Hi All
I have a 2001 E220cdi with the key fob without the flick out key. For the last few days the car has been getting harder to open and close so I thought the batteries in the fob were on the way out. So this morning I replaced the batteries for new ones and went out to the car. Now the fob will not unlock the car at all. If I press and hold a button the little red light on the fob flashes for a slit second.
So I dug out the spare key, which must have been he main key used in the past, as it's worn and the buttons are split slightly. Still this opened the car straight away only problem is it will not lock the car now. I think the button on this fob may be faulty.
Do I need to get the fob that I changed the battery re programmed or something?
Thanks in advance for any help!
