Remote re-call

Just had a letter from MB this morning advising me of a re-call on my car. It is for the eCall system. They advise me that this can be done remotely and do not have to visit an MB dealership for the update. Pleased with that as I won't have to go into Norwich and faf around while they do it at their leisure.

I had the same. Don't really understand the need in some ways as it's just an OTA update - they could just do it and I'd be none the wiser (same as they do with maps etc ). I guess legally they may have to notify me as it's a "safety issue"
