Removel and repalcement of w208 hood star.

Hi there all, new to the site, what a great resource to have. Have a problem my daughter removed the star from the hood of my car, snapped is a better word! I have got a replacement, cant find any online "how to replace" guide, wondering if some one here could help me.

Look underneath. You should find a clup. Turn it (0 or 180 degress - not sure (with pliers) and you should find the whole assemby comes out. Dealers normally do this FOC if you get problems.
Oh - and on these shores it's called the bonnet (hoods are convertible's roofs).

Directions as above. However, you may want to try spraying a bit of oil (e.g. WD40 from underneath on the base). They sometimes get quite stiff.
