Has anybody tried the electric bolt head heaters on the market now ( about £150) to shift caked in diesel injectors..?

I would expect the induction current to totally kill the injector...if the heat doesn't.

If you get the engine nice and hot first the injector should come out easy enough. I took it in stages with the old 270CDI, getting it hot, then getting as much of the tar out as possible, then a few days later a bit more then the injector itself. A hot engine and the slide hammer puller works very well.

Good point.
I was thinking of injectors that you definitely want to remove and throw away for whatever reason.
