I have got several stone chips on my S320, and a couple of chips on the doors, some of which have started to rust a little. How challenging is it to repair these myself, the car is Almandine Black so should I find the paint code and order a repair kit for this?

Any recommendations on kits or brands for repairing stone chips?

Depends on how capable/handy you are, Repair Kit would be the order of the day but if its starting to rust then you best get some professional help

There are a few guys out there who will fix this at your doorside for very low price

If, after doing your homework, you decide not to do it yourself, I have used "Chips Away" on 2 occasions with excellent results at sensible money.

Might be interesting to get quotes from a body shop and Chips Away just to get a feel for the costs of professional repair.

At the very least, knowing how much money you have saved will heighten the buzz of having done it yourself, if you proceed to do that.

Your colour is quite easy to do. the Halfords or MB pen kits work well.. they take several coats as the paint is quite thin, and any paint can be rubbed off with T cut from the original.

When putting on the last coat, just smudge it with your finger after a few seconds,,this will bring out the metalic flakes, leave it for a few hours and T cut it off the original paint again
