I got my car back from the bodyshop last Monday night after my unfortunate deer/Coupe interface.

I have resisted all temptation to wash her as per instructions from the bodyshop and today set about restoring her to pristine condition.

After cleaning, removing all the tar spots which have accumulated and giving her a damned good seeing to with AGSRP she's looking beautiful again.

I took a couple of pictures to let you all see how much better she looks repaired, plus I'd like some opinions on the looks now that the chrome side strips have been removed. I like it, looks cleaner I think.

The repair:-

And the modification N/Side :-

O/Side :- IMG_3366.JPG

Typically I had barely finished taking the photos when it started hissing down, I think the tyre slick will have been washed off knowing my luck.:rolleyes:

It's a fine looking car Jim. Only the black wheels detract a little, but I think they're a winter accessory. I'm sure it turns a few heads.

Thanks Mac, you're spot on about the wheels, my winter set. I can't wait to get my silver ones back on again, I think they look so much better than the black ones.
She's in good nick for a car that'll be ten years old this year. :D

Jimbo, I'm I tad biased, but what a lovely motor, and the chrome door strip removal gets a thumbs up, looks so much smoother, and easier to clean, i did the same to mine. :)
Not a fan of the black wheels, but as you said, there winter wheels, so I'll let you off .:D

Each to their own Jim, I am old fashioned enough to like a bit of chrome in the right places. Only a winter thing I know, but black wheels leave me cold. That is a nice car though and for me it is in the right colour, MB's should be Silver should't they ? - Silver arrows and all of that. I will no doubt warm to it when you get your silver alloys back on it.

Since doing the chrome strips I'm seriously considering it Jon, they do detract slightly from the clean look.

UPDATE :- Well, after last weekends debacle, with the rain starting just as I was buffing up the car to remove the polish, today I vacuumed, washed, dried, repolished and buffed up the paint. I did the polishing and removal one panel at a time just to ensure no repeat of last weeks nonsense, I also tyre slicked with AG Tyre treatment too.
The car is looking stunning, lol. I started at 1-00 p.m. and finished at 5-30 p.m.
Typically after clearing all my bits and bobs away the temperature dropped considerably and condensation started forming on the roof and bonnet which rather spoiled the pics, somewhat. Oh well, never mind the jobs done.
I was amazed at how warm it was while I was actually working on the car, when I began I was wearing a hoddie and a little less than halfway through I had stripped down to just jeans and a T-Shirt  I was sweating like a..... very sweaty person. :D
A couple of pics ....

Oh no! Swmbo would slaughter me if I didn't walk up to Lidl.

The only time I take the car in there is when I need to check my oil level. Nice big flat car park you see. :D

Jim, slightly off question, are your exhaust tips, the standard one's, they seem to stick out more than on my c207.

No sir, they are modified, they were on the car when I got it. They are on my “to do list” to reinstate the original ones.
