2019 C300d AMG Line Premium+
Hi All,

I recently joined having picked up my 2nd C-Class estate. I previously had a 2014 (MY15) C250d Sport Premium Plus but after 60k miles and 6 years I wanted something a little faster and less bouncy. I've traded it for a used-approved 2019 C300d AMG Line Premium Plus in Iridium Silver with the 19" staggered AMG 5 spoke alloys and some nice options. Loving how much smoother it feels and with the bigger wheels it feels much more planted then the C250d was without being too harsh on UK roads.

The weird thing I've notice on it though is that there's blanking plates next to the rear seats where the folding seat switches should be. You have to go to the boot to release them, which is really annoying! Hopefully the wiring is there and I can retro-fit them.

Hope to chat with you all soon.

That does seem weird, maybe it's a safety/security/insurance thing, to stop people/children collapsing the seats and accessing the boot from inside the car.

That makes sense, the security bit appeals to me too so I may leave it as is after all. Thanks.

A repeat offender would be if you purchased a BMW. You are rehabilitated and well done.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the ride.
You're right, I had a 535d E61 Tourer then an X5 E71 40d prior to the C250d and I was looking for an M340d this time but wasn't willing to pay the premium. The only thing I really wanted extra on the C300d was the 4matic, I don't know why Mercedes didn't do more of them and although I'd love the I6 in the E400d I couldn't justify it. I'd have liked air ride and a HUD too but I haven't seen a HUD in a non AMG car yet, once you have had one they are a must have for other cars.

Considering the C250d and the C300d are the same model range they feel completely different. The 300 is so much smoother at putting the power down and the 19" wheels, even with run-flats fitted, don't make the ride as harsh as I expected after having the 50 profile 17" wheels. Thank god the bounciness has gone though, like sailing the sea in the old car.
