Just replaced all my front bulbs for 50% increase in light output by Osram and Phillips. Cant see any difference, what are other drivers view of these? I went for the ordinary white. (not Blue) have I spent money unecessarily?
I fitted these type of bulbs on a customers car last week. I did not see very much difference. YOU WOULD BE BETTER FITTING 100 WATT BULBS. They do make a difference.
Before someone comes in and says they are for off road use ...
I bought these for my beamer and after 2hours of trying to fit the them in a gap a childs hand would n't fit noticed no difference! I reckon they were eactly the same bulbs as the factory ones!!
At the risk of getting my head bitten off I think we need a bit of physics here!
50% increase in light output doesnt mean that the bulbs will look 50% brighter or light the road 50% better, it means that they give off 50% more light. Our eyes (and ears for that matter) work on a log scale of power. That means that for every doubling of the light output it appears that the light is only a little bit brighter. Thats why Landovers comment that he swapped the bulbs for a customer and couldnt see the difference is spot on - because to the eye the difference is nothing. If you use 100w bulbs as he suggests the light output will be several 100% higher - which will help.
