Further to my post a couple of days ago. Leak in cooler pipes fixed, gearbox refilled. Still won't change from 1st gear. I'm told ovehaul gearbox or replace gearbox.
Overhaul price estimated £1600 min
MB price for box is £2263 + £1200 surcharge ( returned when they get old unit)
Dronsfield Merc, Manchester price for exchange gearbox with 3 month warranty is £750 + VAT + shipping.
The car is worth about £5000.
