Hi,

I'm fairly new to the forum, so apologies if this has been asked before:

Mercarparts.co.uk?
Has anyone used these guys for parts? Any good any problems? Or is there better cheaper alternatives around?

Cheers in advance.

I have never seen them mentioned on this forum, and a search shows just you as asking about them. So, its down to your own judgement, sorry

welcome to the forums though :)

Hello and welcome from me too.
I've never used them but I have used robparker (threepointedparts I think) on here. He's that good, he's got his own fan club on here. :)

Thanks everyone for the recommendations for the other places, I will check them out today. The place I original quoted seemed good at first until I tried to place an order, so the alarm bells were ringing and wanted to check them out with people on here. Once again, many thanks.

Just changed the sun visors to the illuminated variety, interior mirror to auto dip had to replace all of the boot linings mine must have had oil or something spilled over it (before my ownership).

Now looking at folding/dimming/indicator door mirrors then some other stuff - bigasoton (Andy) is my 'Mr Motivator' so who knows what next!

Have considered changing the car but it is running so well and is truly cheap motoring for such a 'large barge' that at present my thoughts are on adding bits and pieces to improve the 'experience' it also keeps me out of mischief, not that I would have a clue what to do if I got into any;)

What would be the point of changing your nice car,,sure you have had thoughts of fitting a V8, but stay with what you have got. It is a very nice example

You remind the lady from the insurance company "how can we be sure that you can handle all this power at your age"

I told her that this was the smallest engined car that I have ever owned,,she accepted that :D
