replacing air filter box

i have noticed a crack in the air filter box on my e300 turbodiesel,
i have had look for old one in local scrap yard but i think it might be off a petrol e300.

does anyone know whether the petrol air filter box will fit a diesel car?

Plumbers pipe solvent will glue the box very well, but takes a few hours to go off, you could reinforce force it with industrial tape or plastic patch

i think there is a difference, might go with trying to seal it,or get my hands on a diesel box.

How big is the crack? Its only a plastic box, if it were me I'd just glue it back together

Get a price from MB as I have found there reasonable for such Items on my C class.
