Just ordered the anti roll bar bushes kit.
I've read it's not a hard job, however I could do with any tips anyone might have that could save me from the dreaded: "I knew you'd make a complete mess of that" comments from my partner.
If anyone's done it recently and wouldn't mind posting the process.
Cheers

I'm guessing a W124.

It is a straight forward job......you may want to spray the bolts with a penetrating oil the night before to make them easier to shift.

Also when you come to putting the bar back on, it helps to have somebody there to hold the bar at one end whilst you do up the other side.

Lastly before you take off the bar, make a mark on the bar itself by the edges of the bushes so that you know where on the bar to locate the new bushes. If you also give the bar a light going over with some emery cloth to get rid of surface corrosion makes getting the new bushes on that much easier.

Good luck

You have a point there :D

these things seem so obvious when viewed with the considerable benefit of hindsight :D

I've never done that with a roll bar but I did once do it with a Jaguar prop shaft - take it off. carefully mark it's orientation, clean it all with the aforementioned emery cloth, add a coat of hammerite and then wonder why I couldn't find the marks :)
