Replacing Timing Chain On Sprinter 312D

Hi all, I'm new to the website and need some advice, I need to know how to go about replacing the timing chain and getting the timing correct on my 1997 Sprinter 312D. If anymore info is required just let me know. Thanks in advance!!!

have you got to replace the timing chain or the guides/tensioner runners?
what is the fault?

The chain has been replaced as it had snapped and now it needs the correct timing.
