Replacing W126 Balljoints

I need to change the balljoints on my creaking W126 420SEL. I am budgeting for an overdue service and wondered if anyone could give me an idea of the likely costs of the balljoints relacement or expected labour time.

Hi, I have just had the bottom ball joints replaced on my 126, all other ball joints are easy, but the bottom ones on the 126 involve complete stripping of the hub assembly and pressing out the ball joint and pressing in the new one, the geniune ball joint from mercedes is under £40, depends on the labour charge of the garage, the time allocated is about 3 hours or less per side. hope this helps Rory
