replacment fan belt 300D 1991

Hi eveyone,

I have almost completed replacing front timing case which had
broken a section that holds steering pump I have forgotten set up for fan belt
I have no book to get the lay out can someone help me please.
A few things to look out for also if anyone is attempting this front casing repair.I even took some pics

Thanks Malcolm that should do the job ,now I have to admit I dropped the
woodruf key when trying to replace the big end pully.do you think if it fell down sump
It could do any damage !!! 0pppssee
I have another one to put in place,but should I try and retreve other one first

The key could not have dropped into the sump as the oil seal blanks it off. If I am wrong on this, and it did go down, it would just lie on the bottom

Do torque up the crankshaft damper correctly, or it can be the end of the crankshaft

Thanks Malcolm for that,the car does not have airconditioning ,so the belt set up
you posted previously is different,can you show me other set up please

300d fan belt

Hi Malcolm,

I am only going to try this weekend so if you have the set up
it will make thje job easier on me.I'm not getting any younger !!!!:D

Hi again Malcolm,

I'm nearly there for test run just need the Torque settings for pullys on crankshaft end
fan and others very much oblighed
