Bought an S class 320 cdi demonstrator in April. First registered Dec 23rd 2005. Reserve fuel warning light and message in binnacle don't come on when fuel drops very low (predicted range down to 20 miles and still not on).
Took it to dealer who says "in simple terms the computer had not been told what engine was fitted in your car". He put that right. Now message in binnacle says, for example, 'fuel 2.5 gallons range 60 miles' where before it just said 'range 60 miles'. Interesting? Appreciate a view from anyone technical who can explain to me what is really going on.
BTW still have no warning light coming on or message in the binnacle so going back for second go. Anyone had this and know the solution, please????
Other one I've got is Aircon needs to be set to 17 or 18 degrees to get interior to about 21 or 22 degrees. See separate thread asking for cure!
