Helpful as ever!!! If you look at www.parkers.co.uk, it has price guides which also give the price when new. Because its an 'older car' (1989-1996) you would have to register (and pay). I remember doing something similar, for my 1990 230TE. I can't remember the exact price but it was around £20-24,000. Hope this helps!

Maybe someone has Glass's guide, this would also contain the required info.

Yes, thanks Paul and SLinKy, I knew about the Parker's website but me being a tight-ars-- Scot............ Can't find anything so far on a search (free!).
I thought perhaps someone may be a collector of Glass's guides for this info.!!
Cheers.

I would imagine its very much down to the spec. MB extras used to cover pretty much everything down to whether you wanted seats or not in those days. For comparison, my '95 C220 was 26k when new, but without the auto, traction control, outside temp guage, drop down seats and a sunroof etc, it probably listed at considerably less.

The 200E became the E200 in August 1993.
A 1993 200E 16v auto was £21768 and a 1993 E200 auto was £23310.
Metallic paint was about £700 .

I have got a 1994 price list and the prices of extras back then still amazes me.
