Retro fit reversing posts

Hi All,
Just wondered how easy it would be to retro fit the reversing posts on the rear wings of an 'S' W140, and if the vacuum pump already has "outputs" for them etc.
Also were all 'S' classes fitted with autoclose windows and sunroof and self stopping windows (if your hand is in the way)
do i need to set them to 'On' somehow??

All the best,

There a single poll on each rear quarter panel which go up when you select R, spost to help go going backwards into gaps, waste of time really!

Thanks I thought that it may be something like that, though they are not mentioned in the price list

I agree that they serve no purpose other than to look great as you select reverse as they glide out. I have found them on ebay very cheaply and just wondered if the air compressor had the outputs on as standard or if i would need to change that too.

Just take a peep at the air pump and see if there are any spare outputs, but you could no doubt tap in with a t piece to another part of the car, but the pump would still have to be enabled for them to work

Thanks for that Malcolm,

Hmm, i wonder if it would be easier than messing on with the car compressor just to get another one and link it direct to them and the reverse lights for power (if it has outputs then all may be well, if not i don't fancy messing on with it in case i mess up other features)

PSE pumps from a 202 or 124 are not expensive from breakers, there was a guy here scrapping his 202 on Friday
