Although I've now given up on finding a post-facelift 320 CLK Elegance Cab, I'm still struggling finding exactly the right spec.

The main problem is that the either have COMAND or a CD Multiplayer but not both. The last CLK I bought had an aftermarket multiplayer fitted but it was one which broadcast through FM and didn't sound good.

Which is easier, buy a car with COMAND and get an MB player wired in properly or get one with a multiplayer and get COMAND fitted? I know which would be cheaper but I don't know which is easier to do.

Or wait a bit longer?

If you can find the equipment you need AND if it is as easy as adding a changer to a new E280 comand, then i am sure a very helpful member may be able to help you out!

im getting quite close to ditching the idea now (as I have comand but no changer under it),HOWEVER i have discovered that if i burn MP3s to a dvdr disc, the comand system picks it up and plays them no problem. folder by folder. all the repeat options etc.

good luck mate

Buy a car with COMAND already fitted and retrofit a CD multichanger. Not a bad job really just need to know what you are doing especially when altering the D2B (fibre optic) lines. You will then need to get the multichanger coded in to the optic ring and activate it by using a star diagnosis machine.

If you need any more information let me know.

Good luck...

Cheers for that I think that's all I need to know for the time being.

This is an advance on the "it can't be done" load of old f@nny I got from a dealer so I can now use it when negotiating a deal.
