I want to retrofit airconditioning to my 1994 W124 (update) E300 Diesel Saloon, what parts do i need to acquire? I'm Guessing;
a) Air con radiator
b) Air Con Pump
c) Dashboard Switches (i have already)
d) Brackets to mount the above
e) Wiring and Pipework

Anything I've missed? and how hard will it be to do?

You will have to replace the entire heater assembly and all the ducting this involves the removal of the complete dash board and clocks, and the steering column from inside of the car and an awful lot of wiring, to be honest I would,nt attempt this unless you had a doner vehicle sat next to yours to swap all the bits around from one car to the other, you will also have to route the A/C hoses around and through the firewall which will involve the removal of the windscreen wiper assembly.
Have you realised exactly what you have let yourself in for? rather you than me, best of luck.

Done this once on an Opel Monza many years ago, and I wouldn't do it again.

Lots of adapting and cutting, much better to find a car with it already fitted.

In that case it will depend on how much rust my bodyshop man finds next week! I know it's ridiculous and i could find a new car for the same money but i've become attached to the old girl and if it means a full strip and reassembly over the dark winter months then so be it!

Have you looked at the aftermarket suppliers ?

They reckon they can fit them quickly.
