hi all

with this cold spell of ours i'am considering installing the following kit into my 1999 W210 E240 with leather seats.

I have 2 questions:

1. has anyone here attempted this before and what are your views ?

2. has anyone seen/have the procedure to loosen the leather from the frame so that the kit can be fitted?

thanks in advance

brendan

Yes it comes off easily, the same on the back rest, many are nervous to do it but hard to make any mistake,,there is loads of info out there for the 210

Do you need to remove the leather?
- a lot of the pads and gubbins are accessible from behind the seat back - which is dead easy to remove.

The heated pads must go just under the leather on the squab

When I was poking about in there fixing the headrest motor, it looked like you might be able to slide such pads in from the rear after loosening off the springs. I re-arranged the slipped bladders of the orthopaedic by doing that, and I'm guessing the heaters go in the same spot as apparently they're mutually exclusive.
