rev counter/tachometer - rev counter for W114

I have read an UK article stating that the W114 280E (1972-1976) dilivered in the UK had a revolution counter standard. I am from the Netherlands and here it was not so.
Can anyone tell me more about this? And if this is correct, has anyone a rev counter for sale? (6
