Revere gear problem -auto box - Loss of power and slipping r

Hello,
I have just noticed that when I engage reverse on E280 (P reg) it slips if I apply any amount of power but it will reverse with gentle power. If it doen't slip, then it will judder as it reverses. I have checked the fluid level in the autogear box. Help -any idea what this could be

Hi

If the gear box is electronic, (has WS switch and NOT E\S) Then the fault codes need to be read.

If its a hydraulic box with E\S switch, possibly the reverse clutch discs are on their way out.

Either way it needs a professional to have a look.
