rocker cover

after replacing my car i sold me 220ce had a E-Mail from the Young man asking me if i had any spear rocker cover bolts with the Allen key fitments as he has being to his local MB & their can not find a number for them if any one can help with this he is not a member of the forum yet hope by the end of the day he is i am not to show wot he is looking for (only has two bolts on top of cover ??) please help

What 220 was it do you still have the VIN first 6 numbers

Hi Malcolm it was a 220CE 1993 i sold it when i got my cl & i do not have the Vin number the chap that has it is not a member so he keeps E-Mailing me i have sent him a mail asking him for the Vin & to put it on the forum when he gets round to it he is driving me up the wall wot he is doing to lose the bolts i do not know sorry for this but he is a f**King d**K he called me at 6.15 this morning to ask if i got is Mail now its 15.15 he has just called me to ask if i got any replies yet am going to AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:-x

Does he mean the rocker cover bolts (4) OR does he mean the ignition cover bolts (3).

The 4 rocker cover bolts are N304017006027 listed at 94p each
OR also shown is N304017006027/64 listed at 85p each.

Ignition cover bolts are 1110180071 listed at 82p each BUT he may also need the adpters that go with them (better be safe) which are 1110100073 at 1.46p each.

All available.

Tell him to take his VIN to dealer.

He probably means the bolts for the cover over the coils. I think there are 3 of them. I've come accross a few that have just been dropped into place due to the threads being so badly worn, there is nothing to screw the bolt to. I suspect that a new bolt would be no use anyway, if this is the case.

Thanks kth286 & Malcolm i will send this on to him & hope this is the end of it
its my wedding anniversary today what a day hope to make it up to the wife to night going out few beers sum nice food and well lets see what happens good night to all fozzy:D

Whats wrong with bako cooking foil around the threads, :roll: I have used it behind BMW 2002 big end bearings before now.:Oops:
