There was big hold up on the way home. Not so much because of an accident but just about every one slowed down to have a look that was coming the other way.

Maybe this shows the effect better. The oncoming traffic was queing for a couple of miles, but look at the rate the cars are going past the accident!

The road isn't normally that busy and you can get overtaking chances. Yet, because of the rubber necks, a jam appears.

I could have sat there for hours but because of the rubber necks, I just pulled out into a gap and went on my way with a friendly wave. The rest of Lanarkshire followed me through there.
