Hi, I have had a Merc s class for the last 3 years, it is late 2002, First 3 sevices from main dealer, next 3 from independant merc specialist.

This winter with all the salt rust has appeared arround the wheel arches, are d/c uk likely to reject a claim on the basis of the non main dealer services ?

Thanks in advance for any facts/ opinions.

they may, they may not. Sorry but thats about as accurate as we can get. The rules, if there are any, are shrouded in mystery.
Pop it down to your local dealer and see what he says.

Thank's I have allready taken it in and I am waiting for a decision, the man that inspected the car from the body shop was more than helpfull, the merc garage service manager less so ! The first thing he picked up on was the last 3 services were not main dealer.

Its like this if they reject it I am not the give up type, and in my further conversations with anyone regarding DCUK and there cars, will not be singing praises to them.

It will only drive me back to BMW................WE WILL SEE !
