Hi Folks,

I've had my 1998 E240 Avantgarde and so far, so excellent. Aside from a dodgy earth on one of the tail lights (fixed myself with a whistlestop tour of all 3 fuseboxes thrown in), the car has been an utter pleasure to drive. First service (circa 56K) was a bit of a shocker - all filters, 12 plugs and 8 1 litre bottles of Castrol RS (another story), made it a bit expensive. But the next one won't be so dear.

But I digress:

I have started to notice rust developing in both front fog lights, despite both lenses being intact  - I've checked them thoroughly. To be honest I'm a bit miffed at this as my father''s car is 25 years old with the original Lucas fogs sat proudly on the front with no hint of rust.

So my question is: should this be covered by the Signature warranty I got with the car ? It expires Oct this year. I've read through my paperwork and I cannot see anything that says it shouldn't be.

Failing that eurocarparts do them at 35 quid a side, but I'm not chuffed about doing this every 4 years.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
